PAST PERFORMANCES

The Festival of the Bluegrass, Lexington, Ky; The Appalachian Folk Festival, Cincinnati, Ohio; The Meadowgreen Music Hall, Clay City, Ky.; The Homer Ledford Bluegrass Festival, Winchester, Ky.--Homer was honored by the town of Winchester by having a festival named after him in 1986, 87 and 88. The band did a 10-day tour of Ecuador under the sponsorship of the Partners of America organization. They shared the stage with the famous Bill Monroe and the Bluegrass Boys and was back-up band for the one and only comedienne Roni Stoneman. At the invitation of Sister Cities International and Athy chamber of commerce, Athy, Ireland, they represented Kentucky in July 1991 when they participated in Ireland’s first International Bluegrass Festival in Athy, Ireland, Kildare Co. Given top honors for their performance, they were invited back twice more and received standing ovations both times.The British Broadcasting Co. did a video of the band and was broadcast in the London, England area. The Cabin Creek Band has been featured on the Kentucky Folk Life series on Kentucky Education Television (KET), and they were the first band to perform for the Miss Kentucky Beauty Pagent

The band produced a live old time radio show for almost 10 years on the radio station WSKV Stanton, Kentucky. They have produced 5 albums (cassettes) and will be releasing soon a new CD entitled: THE BEST OF HOMER LEDFORD AND THE CABIN CREEK BAND.
